To book our service, the first step is to book a free consultation with one of our homecare advisors
Once set up, we also provide you with 24/7 access to our Online Homecare Portal, where you can keep track of schedules, visit notes & payment history. We’re so confident about the quality of our Homecare professionals that if you’re not entirely happy with the first visit from your appointed carer, we’ll refund your first day’s costs and work with you to find an alternative carer that better meets your needs.
Our Remote Assistance service supports the homecare package you select, which will provide you with additional peace of mind 24/7 and may also reduce your homecare costs.

How Our Homecare Service Works In Six Simple Steps:
Step 1: Book your FREE consultation
To book your consultation, all you have to do is call us on 01 420 0800 or click on the 'Book your free consultation' button
Step 2: Your homecare consultation
The Care24 advisor will then call out to your home and conduct a free consultation. They will chat through all your options and discuss your care plan, which may include a combination of homecare, healthcare and remote assistance.
Step 3: You confirm you are happy to proceed
Once you are happy to proceed, you can contact your dedicated Homecare Advisor and sign up for our services.
Step 4: We make all the arrangements
Your Homecare Advisor then makes all the arrangements agreed in your specific care plan, which includes identifying the Carer that best suits your needs.
Step 5: Our Homecare Advisor will call out to you
Our Homecare Advisor will then call out to you and introduce the appointed carer. The Homecare Advisor will also go through your finalised homecare plan, as well as answering any further questions that you might have. They'll also get your account set up on our Homecare Portal.
Step 6: Your first care visit and plan begin
The first care visit itself will commence from the following working week
With our online Homecare Portal, you'll be able to check who exactly has visited your home, and at exactly what times. It also allows you to see what visits have been scheduled for the coming days.
In addition, the Care Plan & Care Journal are always available in a secure location in the portal so you can see at any time what care is being delivered.
Our Homecare Advisors will also keep in regular contact with you to ensure you are happy with the service we are providing.

If you’re not happy with the appointed carer, we will happily refund the cost of your first visit, and our homecare advisor will appoint another carer for the next visit.

How soon will the first care visit happen after signing up?
Once you sign up, your first care visit will start the following week
What's the difference between a Homecare Advisor and a carer?
Our homecare advisors are the ones who lead our teams of carers. They will work with you to create a care plan. They're the ones who will keep in touch with you regularly to ensure you are happy with the service you are receiving.
The carer is the person who will go to your place of residence to provide the care service.
Are your carers Garda vetted?
Yes, all of our carers are Garda vetted, and must have an up to date People Handling Certificate.
Can I change my subscription if needs change?
Yes you can. If your circumstances change, you can either contact our Homecare Advisor who will adjust your subscription, or you can login to your account dashboard where you can change your weekly subscription in line with your needs.
Will I be locked into a long term contract if I sign up?
Not at all. Our homecare service does not require a long term commitment. All you need to do is contact us within 14 days notice and we will cancel your subcscription for you.
How are you carers qualified to look after me?
We have a very stringent recruitment policy which ensures that our carers are qualified, have proven care experience, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and most importantly, a passion to provide the care required.
In addition, all our carers hold at least 2 QQI level 5 Healthcare modules.
We also rigidly check references to validate caring experience. In addition, all carers are Garda vetted.
Are carers permitted to give medication?
Our carers are not permitted to administer medication as they are not medically qualified. They can however prompt you that medication needs to be taken.
Do you provide care for Alzheimer's & Dementia?
Yes. We have carers with specific qualifications and experience in this area.
Is Care24 responsible for paying Carers tax & PRSI?
Yes, we are responsible for paying Carers tax & PRSI as well as all employer obligations of your carer.
What support do you provide your carers?
We believe in going the extra mile to make our customers feel safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes. We recognise that to ensure we provide our customers with a professional service that is second to none, it is essential that our carers are cared for.

How do you charge?
We charge based on time. With our homecare service, we charge an hourly rate. The same hourly rate applies for all days except Sundays & bank holidays, where a premium rate applies.

Example:
Joan arranged for Care24 to provide essential homecare services for her Dad, Sean.
One of the Care24 homecare professionals visits Sean 10 hours a week (Monday to Friday).
Before tax relief, this would cost Joan and her brothers €225 per week.
However as Joan and her brothers (who pay 40% tax) can claim tax relief for these services, the net cost for their dad’s homecare is only €135 per week
